LINOCUT PRINTS

Linocuts are a type of relief printmaking technique where an image is carved into a sheet of linoleum. The raised (uncarved) areas hold the ink, while the carved sections remain blank when printed. The process is similar to woodcut printing but easier to carve since linoleum has a softer, smoother surface.
